Rules of Engagement
Help Us Keep Our Community Strong | Before you join in, please take a moment to read the Rules of Participation below. By taking part, you’re agreeing to be respectful, stay relevant, and support a positive, welcoming space for everyone.
1. Event Submission Guidelines:
We invite you to share events that are relevant to the Pitt County Now community. Submissions should be of interest to local residents and support our mission of community engagement. Please provide complete and accurate information, including the event’s date, time, location, and a brief description. Double-check all details before submitting. All entries will be reviewed by an administrator for approval before being published.
2. Content Integrity:
We’re committed to maintaining a respectful and trustworthy space for all. Please use clear, appropriate language in your event descriptions. Submissions that include offensive, discriminatory, or unrelated content will not be accepted. To keep things organized and helpful for everyone, avoid posting duplicate events or unrelated promotions. Repeated or inappropriate submissions may lead to delays or removal. Be sure all event details are honest and accurate—our community depends on it.
3. Respect Our Community:
We’re all here to support and uplift one another. Please treat fellow community members with kindness and courtesy. Harassment, personal attacks, or disruptive behavior won’t be tolerated. If you have feedback about an event or the submission process, we welcome your input—just be sure it’s shared in a respectful and constructive way so we can continue to grow together.
4. Event Ownership & Permission:
When you submit an event, you’re confirming that you have the right to share it and have permission from the event organizer to post the details on our site. Please make sure your submission does not include any content that violates copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
5. Event Changes or Cancellations:
If your event details change after submission, please let us know as soon as possible so we can keep the community informed. If the event is canceled, notify us right away so we can update our calendar and help avoid any confusion for attendees.
6. Legal & Ethical Guidelines:
All submitted events must follow local, state, and federal laws. Events that violate legal requirements will not be accepted. Any personal information collected through event submissions should be handled responsibly and must not be used for unsolicited marketing or communications. We also ask all users to respect the security of our site and avoid any misuse or attempts to exploit vulnerabilities.
