On Feb. 28, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office received a report of an alleged sexual offense involving a juvenile that resulted in the birth of a child. The Sheriff's Office began an investigation and collected evidence.

    As a result, Investigator Robert Gaskins applied for and obtained a warrant charging Vladimir Hernandez Guerrero, age 23, of Pointe Drive in Washington, with one count of Statutory Rape of a Person Who is 13, 14 or 15 Years Old by a Defendant Who is at Least Six Years Older than the Victim. Guerrero was arrested on Thursday and confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond, set by Magistrate D. Curtis.
