Craven County Sheriff's Office arrests man for stealing from PCS |

On Dec. 17, 2010, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office received a report of a larceny of copper wire from PCS Phosphate in Aurora. The Sheriff's Office began an investigation and conducted interviews. After reviewing evidence, Beaufort County investigators applied for and obtained search warrants for two residences near Vanceboro in Craven County. Craven County Sheriff's Office investigators assisted with the searches of the two properties.
On Feb. 1, 2011, investigator Wesley Waters applied for and obtained a warrant charging Brian Lee Broadway, age 38, of Maple Cypress Road in Vanceboro, with one count of Felony Larceny.
On Feb. 10, Broadway was served with the warrant by the Craven County Sheriff's Office at the Craven County Detention Center where he was already in custody. Broadway was held on a $51,000 secured bond for this and other unrelated charges.
