Sheriff's Office arrests Washington man after he pawned firearm


    On Nov. 29, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office discovered that a firearm had been pawned in Washington by a convicted felon. The Sheriff's Office began an investigation, seized the firearm, and conducted interviews.

    On Dec. 6, Investigator Wesley Waters applied for and obtained a warrant charging Theodore Ross Lee, age 46, of Arbor Drive in Washington, with one count of Possession of Firearm by Felon. Lee turned himself in at the Sheriff's Office on Dec. 17. He was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond set by Magistrate Donald Sadler.
