Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center Receives Funds Raised from Paint the Town Pink |

(Washington, NC) - The 2nd annual awareness event and fundraiser is in the records books. This year's event raised nearly $14,000 for the Center. The staff at Eastern Radiologists in Washington coordinated the event and fundraising activities. They sold Paint the Town Pink t-shirts and cookbooks and Eastern Radiologists covered the costs of the t-shirts and cookbooks, therefore 100% of the funds raised were donated to the Center.
Just My Cut, a hair salon located on Grimes Road in Washington participated in the Paint the Town Pink event as well and raised $1,270 for the Center. The salon staff held a fundraiser on October 1st and all proceeds from that day were donated to the Center. In addition, the salon sold raffle tickets for gift baskets featuring assorted products and certificates for salon services.
